Fill out the FAFSA-Click to be directed to the websiteThe Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required to apply for federal student aid, such as federal grants, loans, and work-study. The FAFSA is also used to apply for most state and college aid, in addition to some private financial aid. We recommend that all students fill this form out. You DO NOT have to accept the aid awarded if you don't want it. FAFSA applications can be submitted after January 1 and it is first come, first serve.
STATE DEADLINE: May 1 Get a FAFSA PIN- Click to be directed to the websiteYour PIN can be used each year to electronically apply for federal student aid and to access your Federal Student Aid records online. If you receive a PIN, you agree not to share it with anyone. Your PIN serves as your electronic signature and provides access to your personal records, so you should never give your PIN to anyone, including commercial services that offer to help you complete your FAFSA. Be sure to keep your PIN in a safe place.
CSS PROFILE- Click to be directed to tbe websiteThe PROFILE is an online application that collects information used by certain colleges and scholarship programs to award institutional aid funds. (All federal funds are awarded based on the FAFSA, available after Jan. 1 at www.fafsa.ed.gov.) Some colleges may require additional information, such as tax returns or an institutional application. If your parents are divorced, some colleges will also require your noncustodial parent to complete the Noncustodial PROFILE.
